Parking

The free San Marco parking lot of Sorano is found outside the walls of the Fortress in Via Ricasoli. You can reach the entrance of the hotel by a 3 minute walk. From the San Marco parking lot, take the pedestrian crossing to the right and cross the historic bastion. When you are in Piazza d’Armi, cross the small bridge under the tower and you will arrive at the hotel.

Wi-fi

During your stay, you can make use of the free Wi-Fi network throughout the hotel. Upon your arrival, we will provide you with all the information necessary to log in to the network and browse from common areas and from your room.

The rooms located outside of the main hotel area, such as the Tower Suite, do not have Wi-Fi in order to maintain the historical ambiance and to make your stay in our ancient fortress even more authentic.

Guests wishing to connect to WiFi can access the hotel’s common areas at any time and use them without limitations.

Early check-in

For all guests who arrive before the scheduled check-in time, we guarantee a free luggage storage service at our reception in order to ensure the comfort you need.

While you wait, you can relax in our hall, use our services and take advantage of our internal cafeteria.

Animals

Four-legged friends are more than welcome at Hotel della Fortezza! We love animals too and know how wonderful it is to enjoy a vacation with them.

Pets can stay in the room with their owners, as long as basic courtesy and respect for common areas are observed. To make their stay more comfortable, we provide a pet bed and food bowls.

Please note that due to the extra time required for thorough cleaning after a pet’s stay, there is an additional €15 fee every three nights.

Breakfast

Wake up to a delicious breakfast made with locally sourced, zero-kilometer ingredients, both sweet and savory. Enjoy homemade cakes prepared with organic flours, sweet or savory ricotta and cheeses from Sorano, pecorino, local prosciutto (both cured and cooked), seasonal fruit, organic cherry tomatoes, and freshly baked bread. All served alongside hot beverages and fruit juices.

Breakfast hours: Join us in the breakfast room every day from 8:00 to 10:00 AM.

Half Board

Guests opting for the Half Board package can enjoy their meals at our in-house restaurant, EnoRistrò. The package includes two dishes of your choice from the menu and one bottle of water for every two people.

Please note that service, coffee, additional beverages, meat priced by weight, and specialty items are not included.
